LITTLE HANDS
Child, grade 2-4
Handbuilding is the natural way to engage with clay! Little hands, fun projects and big ideas enable children to engineer a three dimensional object without a high tech 3D printer. Tried and true pinch, coil and slab structures are the building techniques they’ll learn to rely on, combine, and explore to make lasting treasures. Our thoughtful projects inspire, guide, and encourage creativity.
This workshop features two days of building, and a glaze day. Pottery will be kiln fired twice; first to bisque, then painted/glazed, and fired once again to complete the process. Pieces will be ready to pick up after the final firing.
Class fee includes supplies; clay and glazes, use of tools, and firing fees.
Max number of students 10, minimum 6.
Glaze days are Summer Saturdays, between the hours of 10am and 3pm.
Instruction is with potter Annie Lichter.
Class meets Wednesday & Thursday from 2-3pm, $85
