This 2 evening workshop celebrates the first days of summer with natures bountiful flora and greens. Line, texture and composition come together effortlessly as you work with specimens from the yard and garden. Stoneware clay is your working medium. Simple tools and hand work provide all that you need for instant gratification. Each parcipant will have enough time and material to create two pressings.

On the first evening you’ll create your artwork. Your pieces will then dry completely, and will be kiln fired from greenware to bisque, and become ready for the finishing decoration.

After the bisque firing, you’ll return to color drench your creation with an everlasting watercolor technique. Your piece is then committed to the glaze firing. You’ll return to pick up your work following the second firing.

*You may have flowers and foliage from your own yard, garden, home or outdoor space. You’re welcome to snip & bring. To help prolong the freshness of your flowers, leaves and stems. Wrap in damp paper towel, or place in a jar of water to transport.

Class fee includes supplies; seasonal natural elements, clay & glazes, use of tools, and firing fees.
